Amazon River Slow Boat

In 2024, I spent three nights travelling up the Amazon River on a slow boat from Leticia, Colombia to Iquitos, Peru. The ferry along the river is the primary means of transportation and trade for locals in this part of the Amazon. The ferry stops constantly at small inlets and remote communities, offloading and onboarding passengers, livestock, food, and other goods. The journey provides a unique insight into the way of life of the people who live in this remote region.
